Biography

Elizabeth Deull

Elizabeth Deull is an artist who lives and works in New York City. She holds a B.F.A. from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and a Masters in Studio Arts/Painting from
New York University's Steinhardt School of Education. She is currently working towards her
New York State Teaching Certificate in Art (K-12) at Brooklyn College .

Ms. Deull has been an Adjunct Professor of Painting at NYU since 2005. She was the Associate Director of Art Gotham Gallery in Chelsea throughout 2005, where she curated the group show "Outlaw," which included artists such as Michael St. John, David X Levine, Adrian Ting and others. Ms. Deull has worked as a Teaching Artist Assistant in the"Learning Through Arts" Program of The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, assisting artist Susan Mayr in instructing at a New York City Public elementary School, as well as conducting specialized tours for school groups at the Museum. She has served as a judge for two years for the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, and has been a juror on the selection panel for the residency program at the Hall Farm Center for Arts and Education.

Ms. Deull has executed commissioned paintings and drawings for several private collections, and has designed commercial materials for small businesses. Her work has been exhibited at Marvelli Gallery, Cynthia Broan Gallery, The Lower East Side Girls Club, The Rosenberg Gallery and at the 80 Washington Square East Galleries in New York City, as well as Gallery 2 in Chicago.
